Christmas Tree Festival 2014

Once again the Christmas Tree Festival has been held in St. Peters Church, Sandwich. Earlier in the year I had heard that there was not going to be a festival this year, but a group of lovely people decided they would take the task on, with the result being a beautiful display of amazing trees in the fantastic setting of the Medieval Church.

Entries from the local schools and nurseries are always so lovely to see Smile

The standard of the trees on display was very high, a number of the trees took on a ‘poppy’

theme to commemorate the anniversary of the start of World War I.

An entry from the ‘Sunshine Group’

This one was made by the children of the local Junior School and is entitled

‘The Good, The Bad and The Donkey’

Fantastic Smile

A lovely sight when you enter the church.

Santa on his bike is a regular visitor to the display, he always has lollies in his basket for the children who come to see the display Smile

Beautiful display from one of the Twinning Societies.

The beautiful Nativity scene.

Elephants on this tree Smile

The decorations on this tree are all made from plastic bottles, and it looked great Smile

A fantastic display as always, well done to all the participants and the organisers Smile
